CACEIS UK, the sustainable governance partner of choice for UK pension schemes has partnered with Bedfordshire Pension Fund to provide custody, fund accounting and performance measurement services as part of a £2.9 billion mandate.
CACEIS are highly focused on developing their footprint with Local Government Pension Schemes and are part of the National Local Government Pension Schemes (LGPS) Framework for Global Custody Services, alongside partnering with LGPS on cost transparency and benchmarking.
In combination with CACEIS’ client-driven custody solution, Bedfordshire Pension Fund will enjoy access to administration capabilities, governance and reporting solutions for all assets held through our Centre of Excellence for Pensions, which harnesses one of the industry’s leading investment-led front-to-back technology platform, SimCorp Dimension.
We developed our solution with SimCorp Dimension specifically with pension schemes in mind, who often utilise multiple systems for their reporting requirements. We are consolidating Bedfordshire Pension Fund’s data under one system, one platform, unlocking greater efficiencies in collecting, aggregating and flexibly reporting on high quality data. This capability also provides Bedfordshire Pension Fund with fund accounting and reporting services that have greater scalability when accessing new asset classes, across traditional and private assets, and new managers.
Pat Sharman, Country Managing Director, UK, CACEIS commented “In combination with our client-driven custody services, we’ve built a powerful and centralised pensions hub at CACEIS, our Centre of Excellence for Pensions, which is underpinned by market-leading technology in SimCorp dimension. This unique proposition elevates our administration and reporting offering to UK pension schemes with one fully integrated IBOR and ABOR for all traditional and alternative asset classes. I am looking forward to working with Bedfordshire Pension Fund to see what we can achieve together.”
Cllr Doug McMurdo, Chair of Bedfordshire Pension Fund said “We are delighted to be in a position to work with CACEIS following the competitive procurement process. The opportunity this provides the Fund to design a bespoke custody service, with CACEIS, is exciting. The integration of Environment, Social and Governance analysis into our existing performance and reporting is of paramount importance, in order that we move forward in our responsible investment agenda on behalf of all our stakeholders, but importantly our c76,000 scheme members and all the employers.”
James Parish, Head of UK Pensions Sales, CACEIS added “CACEIS’s strength lies in our specialist sustainable governance solutions. In custody this means providing independent analysis and delivery of timely, clean and robust data that Bedfordshire Pension Fund can rely on. At the centre of this is our team of pensions professionals that understand the defined needs of our clients and are deeply committed to bringing the highest levels of service delivery through our approachable and personable style.”
